She was living again, blossoming
The dark dead winter and grey cold skies
Had turned to spring and fresh new growth
"Do I miss you", She said
"I will always miss you", her heart replied
"But it is time to love again"
She needed to thaw her heart
And to free her soul and spirit
And to ever so slightly trust again
"You almost broke me", she said
"But I'm putting the pieces back together
And building new parts that are gone"
The gentle kisses and caresses
Last night's memories healing the cracks
Soon she will look whole again
There are no regrets or wishful thoughts
Because she has let go of what was
And the spark of joy in her soul
Is turning into a fire that touches her spirit
